Reem Acra’s Fall 2019 Bridal Collection Brings In Sparkling Wedding Dresses
This New York International Bridal Week keeps on mesmerizing us with dreamlike bridal gowns, the versatility of which will perfectly suit anyone. Reem Acra just helped the future brides to expand their wedding wish lists with theReem Acra fall 2019 bridal collectionthat directly comes from a parallel fairy-tale world.
“I wanted to stay in my magical garden. You’ll see lots of ballgowns in this collection, far more than I’ve ever done,” Reem Acra told backstage. “That’s what I see for 2019. Yes, we have the mermaids, the fit-and-flares, but really my focus was the ballgown. It’s all about capturing happiness, this mood of lightness.”
For her Reem Acra fall 2019 bridal line, the Beirut-born fashion designer interlaced her signature modern figures with more magical otherworldly aesthetics, complementing most of her proposals with delicate touches of sensuality that enhanced the figures and put them at the center of attention.
Perfect for an early or even late fall outdoor wedding celebration (depending on where you live), the Reem Acra bridal fall 2019 lineup is nothing but purely romantic, as well as celebratory, both in terms of women’s bodies and the house’s legacy. Reem Acra has been celebrating her label’s 20th anniversary throughout the year, and this fall 2019 bridal collection celebrates the designer’s astounding artisanal skills once more.
Alternating sleek, bright fabrics with see-through laced ones, Reem Acra managed to shape both mermaid and hourglass figures, harmoniously embroidering metallic sequined motifs and even floral embellishments on both the figures. As usual, she then strongly focused on bustier-like tops, here adorned with miniature pearls, butterflies, gemstones and floral decoration that, like a second skin, gently wrapped up the bodies highlighting the silhouettes.
Loads of featherweight organza and silk gazar inevitably helped her recall the “magical garden” motif, not to mention the delicate tiaras and floral crowns she completed most of the looks with.
As for the most sensual staples, Reem Acra brought in imperceptible little risqué touches that looked sophisticated especially on the mermaid-like gowns. Tactical cut-outs, sheer slits, sweetheart necklines and veils sinuously dropped around the bodices enhancing them.
With ball gowns being the focal point for most of the collection’s staples, structured and layered dresses served as the perfect alternative to strengthen Reem Acra’s utterly romantic dream, treating us to one of her most eclectic and variegated bridal collections created so far.
Little minimalist details, such as lace wrist cuffs, 3D appliqués and cap sleeves perfectly translated Acra’s willingness to capture “moments of happiness” into reality, leaving us speechless and ironically in a happy mood, indeed.
